Last night when I got home I began rummaging through my computer to find more ads I have done aside from the few prints I had with me. Well, I ended up finding a pdf file with some stuff so I took snapshots.

Fly Fishing Film Tour - It's like porn to these guys. Copy is funny fisherman lingo twisted to sound dirty. Example: When I'm alone in the woods, after setting up the camera, I throw on some rubbers, stand in the woods, and whip my rod around".
The pictures need lots of work. They are supposed to look like an O face.
ZipCar - Helps save communities and the environment.

ReplyDeleteI would suggest working on your Krylon ads and bring layouts to the next class. I don't think fishermen having orgasms is a good idea....but I do like the Fly Fishing show is super attractive to men who are crazy about fishing. I would suggest brainstorming more visuals for this campaign.

Regarding the Fly Fishing Film Tour, I shouldn't have said it's an orgasm face. it's more like the face they make when they are reeling in the big fish, they make funny lookin faces that LOOK like orgasm faces, so that was the whole play on the idea that it's fish porn to them, haha. If I got better photos of real fisherman and real faces, do you think it would work better?
ReplyDeleteThe other direction that my previous teacher in that class came up with, with me, is having like a porn set, a hot girl, and a couch or whatever but instead of a man, it's the rod. just leaned up by her. The idea was more farfetched and I didn't like it as much, but I just thought I'd mention.
